I have had this viewfinder for about half a year now and it has absolutely changed my life. Carrying around two pieces of L-shaped cardboard gets tiresome, not to mention they are difficult to clip together in order to maintain your picture's aspect ratio. I hate the idea of cutting windows into index cards because I like to have freedom with the shape of my drawings. This viewfinder is absolutely perfect on both fronts. I can frame pictures in any aspect ratio (some of the more popular ones are even marked on the outside plastic for ease of use. Additionally, once you slide it into position, it holds that position rather well as long as you don't drop it. It has an awesome hole in the corner so if you wanted to, you could rig it into a long necklace for those longer drawing sessions in the great outdoors. It is study yet lite, so it will not be unwieldy hanging there either. Overall, I absolutely love my ViewCatcher and I take it everywhere with me.

I can't comment on the hole in the center that is supposed to help you find values as I rarely if ever use that feature.
